My second ascent of Whodunit, definitely my favorite climb at Tahquitz so far.
This time I climbed with Tung Nguyen, his first time trad climbing, so of
course I led the whole thing. We did it in five pitches this time by linking
the first two, and Tung held up really well considering he had never really
jammed on real rock before. This climb is a pretty stiff introduction to
crack. He fell once, at the crux. I got some more booty, a large Chouinard
hex, #9. Also probably could have bootied a small nut from the first pitch,
but it was right at the crux and I didn't feel like messing with it, and
neither did Tung. The little nut I didn't quite get last time on the last
pitch was still there... still didn't get it. Memorable moments: the third
pitch again, but this time it was the second, and just climbing with Tung the
whole day. He was very excited and enthusiastic about doing his first trad
climb, and was just a really fun person to climb with.
