Climbed with Corinne Lee, using much of Aaron's rack, plus my own gear. A very
fun route, though the really good part is a very short section. Two major
notes: the real route is supposed to go out onto the big horn, then up it, not
straight up the crack next to it; and next time, set an anchor shortly after
the horn (the crux) so that if your follower should fall, you can hear her.
Corinne fell trying to follow this, and we were completely incommunicado as
she struggled to get back on the rock. She fell a few times at this same spot,
and I eventually had to haul her a bit. This was actually pretty scary,
because each time she fell, I couldn't feel anything but a dead weight on the
rope for several minutes at a time, so I had no way to tell if she was okay.
For me, the most memorable parts of this climb were leading up the crack
(especially when I realized later that this was a harder variation than the
real crux), and just being up there with Corinne (not to mention finally going
climbing with a climbing hottie, and feeling so lucky.) Also memorable was
meeting Dave Black (see Stairway to Heaven, amongst others) who was climbing
Jensen's Jaunt with his son and daughter.
