This was interesting, and kinda fun, but it really wasn't a “roof
crack” as I'd always heard. The crack you follow out the roof is huge,
so to actually crack climb it would make it a 5.13 offwidth. Instead, there's
a big railing inside the crack, and a decent foot at the lip, so getting out
the roof is one easy move. The 5.9 part is going up from the lip, for which
you have a combination of face holds and a really nice hand crack. This was a
lot of fun for me, but Peter again tried to use only the face, and fell when
he barn-doored. He got back on and finished it cleanly, but was pretty pumped.
