This was fun, but quite a traffic jam. When we reached the base, there were
three other parties (one a party of three) ahead of us, and one more couple
showed up just behind us. We decided to do the climb and just wait in line
anyway, and we ended up having a lot of fun. The first two belay ledges on this
route are big enough for a full-contact game of football, and the third is
comfortable enough for several people, so the crowds didn't make things
uncomfortable, just slow. The couple ahead of us, Nick and Jane, turned out to
be really nice, and we had a good time hanging out with them. The threesome in
front of them turned out to be the bottleneck, since for the first few pitches
they wouldn't bring up the two followers simultaneously, even though they had a
Reverso. The party behind us, Eric and Julia, ended up bailing after two
pitches. The actual climbing on the route was pretty trivial, and I'm pretty
sure the last two pitches (both super fun) could be linked, though that may
require a bit of simul-climbing.
