I found this, along with two nuts and a sling, while rappelling off of Geronimo
at Red Rocks. It seemed pretty clear that someone had to set a somewhat
minimalist gear anchor in the middle of the second to last rappel. (Perhaps
they had not brought a second rope for the descent.) Both nuts came out easily,
so I kept the whole lot. This biner looks as if someone used it for rappelling
a lot, as it has two noticeable grooves in the top. But they're not too deep,
and overall it still looks quite solid and in decent condition. I'll probably
carry it as a spare locker, or at least a leaver biner.
