- Metolius Curve Nut, #10?

I found this nut, along with a #7 Stopper, a sling, and a locker, while
rappelling off of Geronimo at Red Rocks. It seemed pretty clear that someone
had to set a somewhat minimalist gear anchor in the middle of the second to
last rappel. (Perhaps they had not brought a second rope for the descent.) Both
nuts came out easily. This one is a bit heavy (10 g heavier than my #12
stoppers, which are about the same size), and I haven't heard great things
about these nuts in terms of ease of placement. But I might keep it on my rack
and give it a try for a while.
