These were at the 5.10 outlet, available in a good comfortable-but-tight size,
and cheap, so I decided to get them. Now I have two pairs of shoes specifically
intended for crack climbing! These seem like a slightly more appropriate size
for me than the Pitons, but also look like they might be a little less durable.
I guess time will tell. Their “maiden voyage”, almost a month after I bought
them, was a ropeless ascent of Bunche Crack at UCLA.
