There's NO way the start of this thing is only .10c, unless I missed some serious beta or something. The line itself looked quite striking from a distance, when I saw it from the top of Zippy Rock. Closer up, I could see it wasn't so stellar, but it still looked pretty good. The start looked like the crux. In fact, the start turned out to be as hard as Butterfly Crack, maybe harder. There was a brown scar on the right side of the crack that could have been from where a hold broke off. Either that, or this is another one of those infamous Joshua Tree 5.10c's, with a 5.11 boulder problem start.
